How To Play

There are two options to play Holey Poley.

                          1.) Battle Game Mode

2.) Challenge Game Mode (Most Difficult)

1.) Battle Game Mode

  • In the Holey Poley Battle Option
  • Play with 2 or 4 players
  • Set the Tailgate Game Chairs 12 feet apart facing each other
  • Each player attempts 2 underhand ball tosses and 2 rope ring tosses in any order but you must alternate tosses with your opponent
  • With 2 players, each player tosses from the same side towards the opposite chair
  • With 4 players, you and your partner are on the opposite chair but the same side versus your opponents
  • Ball scores in any Holey for 3 points except the seat Holey which is worth 1 point
  • If the ball lands on the seat and does not score, the ball is still in play and can be knocked into a hole for points or be knocked off for no points
  • Rope a Poley for 3 points, all poles are worth 3 points
  • Before the game begins, players agree that all tosses score for points or agree that tosses cancel each other out
  • First player or team to 21 points wins.
  • Score a Holey Poley and automatically win the Game!
  • If you successfully score your two game balls into any Holey and two rope rings on any Poley during your tossing turn and not on different tossing turns, yell Holey Poley and automatically win!

2.) Challenge Game Mode

  • Up for a Challenge?  This is the most difficult game option.

  • In the Holey Poley Challenge Option, you can play with 2 or 4 players

  • Set the Tailgate Game Chairs 12 feet apart facing each other

  • With 2 or 4 players, each player tosses from the same side towards the opposite chair

  • Each player attempts 2 underhand ball tosses and 2 rope ring tosses in any order and after you finish all 4 tosses then your opponent will toss.

  • Whether 2 players or 4 players, you continue to alternate with your opponent once you toss your 2 game balls and 2 rope rings.

  • Once you score a Holey or rope a Poley, you no longer attempt to score for that specific Holey or that specific Poley.

  • In order to win Holey Poley in the Challenge Game Option, the first player or team to successfully score a ball in every Holey and a rope ring on every Poley will win the game!
